OUR SOLUTIONS

SOLUTION 1

In partnership with Week of Saturdays (a resource center for freelance writers), there will be an increased awareness about alternative career paths such as freelancing.

We will achieve this through content creation and community events.

SOLUTION 2

In a bid to increase the employability of Nigerian youths, the skill development program will be two-part.

In collaboration with seasoned freelancers, we will organize a 2-days virtual Bootcamp preparing young people or those planning a career change for a freelance career.

In collaboration with Forthserve (an energy support company), the second part will focus on acquiring soft skills needed for career success. Forthserve Academy, a learning and innovation hub, will also launch on the training day. Attendees will receive certificates testifying to their participation in the training. This training will also be a 2-day event.

SOLUTION 3

Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) play a crucial part in career development. However, the average Nigerian might not be able to afford these courses (which are often priced in dollars).

To make more people afford MOOCs, the project lead, Jeremiah Ajayi will publish a short ebook containing 1000+ online courses, tips on how to complete them, and enroll for free.

SOLUTION 4

Given the lack of well-written CVs, Digivention will invest in a CV writing clinic for job seekers in collaboration with ITAN (a youth-focused organization).

At the end of the program, selected attendees (based on merit) will receive sponsored CV reviews from CV Loft.

Also, the Digivention team shall handle the LinkedIn optimization of 30 job seekers.
